About this role
Receives general direction from the Security Services Supervisor or Manager. Fulfills all the duties and responsibilities required for customer service and maintaining a secure and orderly environment in assigned primary lobbies where patients, visitors, and others present when arriving to the hospital. The Security Support Specialist is responsible for access control and visitor management per administrative and security policies of the hospital. The Specialist provides surveillance monitoring of the entrances in person as well as through video surveillance and intercom systems. In addition, the Specialist may be cross trained to utilize security technology such as digital radios, visitor management software, security camera surveillance, or other detection applications to prevent workplace violence.

Required Qualifications:

H.S. Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:

1 year experience in healthcare, public relations customer service setting, or security related field.

1 year Bi-lingual with fluency in Spanish.
