About this role
GreenStone Farm Credit Services is a provider of financial services to agricultural and rural businesses. The Associate Tax Accountant will deliver tax, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, financial consulting, and client relationship services while developing expertise and supporting business decision-making.
What you'll do:
- Prepare and review individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns
- Assist clients with tax planning and projections to support sound financial decision-making
- Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with IRS regulations and industry requirements
- Maintain trial balances, general ledgers, and fixed asset schedules
- Process payroll tax payments and prepare payroll reporting forms
- Organize workload and manage deadlines during peak tax seasons
- Assist with training and guidance for interns and seasonal team members
- Process payroll and payroll tax filings
- Perform bookkeeping services, including account reconciliations, bill payments, and financial reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
- Develop and maintain budgeting information for client businesses
- Travel to client locations to provide on-site accounting services when needed

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and business technologies
- Experience with or the ability to learn Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite (Practice CS, GoFileRoom, UltraTax, Accounting CS, Virtual Office, NetClient) and QuickBooks
- A willingness to work additional hours, including evenings and weekends during peak tax season (January through April)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Agriculture, or a related field
- 0-2 years of accounting, tax, bookkeeping, or financial services experience
