Associate Wholesale Operations Analyst

Valero is an energy company producing essential fuels and products. The Associate Wholesale Operations Analyst supports wholesale operations by managing customer and carrier data, maintaining loading and terminal access information, resolving operational and billing issues, and providing customer support through SAP and related systems.

What you'll do:

• Manage customer and carrier master data in SAP, including new account setup, maintenance, updates, deletions, loading privileges, and account inactivations to ensure accurate and uninterrupted business operations
• Maintain customer loading and terminal access data across SAP and related systems, including verification of carrier insurance, carrier access agreements, and loading authorizations
• Investigate, resolve, and communicate billing, loading, account, and data-related issues with customers, carriers, terminal personnel, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including Sales, Credit, Billing, Tax, Product Supply & Distribution, and Accounting, to research issues, resolve discrepancies, and support operational processes
• Monitor data integrity and system accuracy by reviewing error reports, correcting data inconsistencies, and ensuring continuous processing and invoicing through SAP
• Maintain compliance and documentation requirements by retaining electronic records, processing requests in accordance with company policies, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and established guidelines
• Support customer service and operational excellence initiatives by managing customer inquiries, administering website portal access, preparing management reports, escalating complex issues, and participating in process improvement activities

What they're looking for:

• Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero San Antonio location, required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• No experience required
• Bachelors or higher level degree - in business or related field preferred
• 1 year of related customer service experience preferred
• Experience in the transportation fuels industry preferred
• Experience using SAP and/or Impromptu systems preferred
