School of Communication Science & Disorders 

This is a full-time, tenure-track position, with a 9-month appointment; academic year requirements include teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, research and service. Candidates with research experience in voice, swallowing, hearing loss, and/or clinical education leadership are especially encouraged to apply.

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.

Qualifications for the Assistant Professor rank include:

1. Earned doctorate in communication science and disorders or related areas.

2. Experience with teaching and research.

3. Experience with external grant awards is preferred.

The environment is highly collaborative with faculty members who have intersecting research interests that include many aspects of clinical, translational, and basic research. The School is located in a newly remodeled stand- alone building with ample space for faculty, research laboratories, and diverse clinical programs. There is an on-site speech, language and hearing clinic, a satellite clinic, and a mobile speech and hearing clinic that services Tallahassee and the surrounding counties.
