Clark Schaefer Hackett has an opportunity for an ambitious Audit Senior to join one of the firm's premier industry practice groups. Not-for-Profit is one of the firm's core industry specialties, and when combined with our Affordable Housing practice, creates a unique opportunity to build specialized expertise while serving organizations that have a meaningful impact on the communities they support.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the quarterback on audit engagements, guiding projects from planning through completion.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and become a go-to resource for their business and financial reporting needs.
- Lead, coach, and develop staff while helping build high-performing engagement teams.
- Navigate complex audit and compliance matters within the Not-for-Profit and Affordable Housing sectors.
- Balance multiple engagements, priorities, and deadlines while delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Collaborate closely with Managers, Senior Managers, and Shareholders, gaining exposure to the leadership and strategic side of the practice.

For Success
This role is well suited for Audit Seniors who have built a strong foundation in public accounting and are ready for greater responsibility, visibility, and opportunity. A background in financial statement audits, audit planning, risk assessment, and preparing or reviewing workpapers in accordance with U.S. GAAP will translate well into the position. Experience serving Not-for-Profit organizations, Affordable Housing clients, LIHTC, HUD, Rural Development, or other compliance-driven environments is especially valuable. The professionals who tend to excel in this role combine strong technical skills with excellent communication, sound judgment, an ownership mindset, and a genuine desire to build trusted relationships with both clients and teammates. CPA certification, or progress toward certification, is valued and supported.
