Assist in audits of the PLCB and help ensure government transparency and accountability with us!
Position Duties
In this position, you will perform auditing, consulting, and advisory activities both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment. Work offers opportunities to take on increasingly complex responsibilities as you build knowledge and gain hands-on experience. Responsibilities for this role include:
- Build Core Knowledge: Develop a strong working knowledge of the functions and operations of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB), as well as auditing practices and office procedures
- Conduct Fieldwork: Travel to assignment locations to interview staff, test PLCB procedures, gather and examine documentation, and obtain audit evidence
- Analyze Data: Use software tools to gather, interpret, compile, and analyze audit data
- Document Findings: Develop written correspondence and reports to effectively communicate work results
- Support Compliance: Participate in audit engagements including agreed-upon procedures, performance audits, and financial audits conducted in accordance with Government Auditing Standards and PLCB policies and procedures

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Note: This position is home based but will require field travel. Travel reimbursement is provided along with a state vehicle.
- Required field travel to most counties in the eastern half and central region of Pennsylvania. This includes Adams, Berks, Bradford, Carbon, Centre, Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Mifflin, Monroe, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Perry, Pike, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, Wyoming, and York counties, with occasional travel to other counties as needed.
- Telework: This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to work from home, you will have the option to report to an assigned PLCB store. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of accounting and/or auditing experience; and fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting; or
- One year of experience as a Financial Programs Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which includes fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting and auditing.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver's license.
