Backend Software Engineer Intern (TikTok-Privacy and Security) - 2027 Summer

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video. They are seeking a Backend Software Engineer Intern to join their Privacy & Security Product team, responsible for building compliant and user-friendly privacy solutions.

What you'll do:

• Build new features that touch hundreds of millions of people around the world
• Solve unique, large-scale, highly complex technical problems
• Participate in technical discussions related to team's product and engineering work

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during the Summer of 2027
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications
• High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities
• Strong learning ability, clear communication, and a strong sense of teamwork and responsibility
• Proficient in C/C++, Python, and shell programming languages, and have a deep understanding of data structure and algorithm design
