Duties
Operates a small full-service bar, mixing and serving the full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.,Records sales, makes change or prepares charge slips in accordance with operating procedures.,Keeps bar, utensils, equipment and work area clean and sanitary.,Uses tact and courtesy to deny further sales to persons whose conduct has become unruly or who appear to be intoxicated.,Keeps records of quantities of beverages dispensed and submits requirement for re-stocking to supervisor.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Must meet state/local age requirements (18) for the serving of alcoholic beverages at the time of appointment. 2. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds. 3. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills, make change and take inventory. 4. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. 5. Ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff. 6. Ability to recognize intoxicated and unruly patrons and take necessary remedial action. 7. Skill in recognizing impending shortages of inventory.

Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
