Position Summary: The Billing and Collections Specialist is responsible for timely and accurate invoicing,
collecting timely payments from customers, resolving billing disputes, maintaining accurate records and
completing monthly reporting. This position requires regular communication and coordination with
various departments within Roofed Right America..
The Blueprint for Success - Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures around credit approval, invoicing, lien
filings and collections to ensure proper controls - Ensure meet timelines regarding submitting liens
- Monitor the firm’s accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts
- Contact customers with overdue accounts and attempt to either collect the overdue amount or
negotiate a payment plan to collect it in installments - Review and approve lien waivers
- Invoice customers based on contract terms on a timely basis, including AIA billings, including
required sales taxes - Responsible for creating and maintaining certified payrolls, as needed
- Work with customer and operating teams to resolve invoice disputes
- Partner with project management to coordinate notifications for project starts after receipt of
down payment - Generate refund checks for final billed accounts with a credit balance
- Prepare recommendation of bad debt write offs or requests to submit for 3rd party collections
- Prepare monthly reporting for billing and collections, as needed
- Maintain accurate customer records and collections notes
- Assist with external audit in regards

Required
- High school diploma with (3) years experience in billing and collections, or minimum (2) years of
post-secondary education - Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Hybrid in Milwaukee
- Associates degree in a finance related field
