About this role

The Student Employee Coordinator (the “Coordinator) reports to the Assistant Director of Box Office & Venue Marketing (“Supervisor”) and is responsible for regular communications with the rest of the Student Box Office Assistants (the “Team”). The Coordinator will work and meet with the Supervisor to allocate work slots for the Team for upcoming weeks. They will provide summaries of the available slots to the Team on a weekly basis. They may also be tasked with helping the Maltz Performing Arts Center (MPAC) staff find solutions to various problems.

The Coordinator will also help maintain the student roster by gathering information from the Team members on a semesterly basis. They should be familiar with student life on campus and be able to help guide the Supervisor around the nuances of the CWRU academic calendar. They will also assist in other administrative roles and continue Box Office responsibilities as deemed necessary. 

Serving as key setup and teardown staff for the Box Office, this role is charged with operating the ticketing system before and during events at the Maltz Performing Arts Center. Operations include printing and handing out will call, selling tickets, and finding patron orders in the ticketing system. The role is also a part of  the safe and proper delivery of an exceptional customer experience that lives up to and exceeds front-facing customer expectations. This role requires night and weekend availability based on event schedules with work hours ranging from 8-16 hours per week.

 

Starting salary: $14.00/hour with yearly raises
Federal Work Study, Not Required

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

● Selling, processing, and organizing ticket sales before and during each event;

● Printing, organizing and handing out will call tickets prior to the show;

● Helping patrons with any ticket/ticket system questions;

● Receiving complaints and addressing/escalating as appropriate from guests;  

● Processing ticketing/transaction processing;

● Collecting and verifying patron and client contact information, and ensuring that information is up to date in all ticketing systems, email service providers, and customer databases;

● Other responsibilities as requested and expanded for this role.
