You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWHAT YOU WILL DO:%3Cbr%3EThe Budget Analyst IV performs advanced (senior-level) budget preparation and analysis work. %26nbsp;Work involves overseeing the planning, organizing, coordinating, and evaluating of VR budgetary activities and fiscal performance measures. Oversees the preparation of budgetary and management reports. %26nbsp;Analyzes expenditure patterns and makes recommendations on the use of funds. %26nbsp;Coordinates the preparation of budgets to provide management with expenditure data, trends, and recommendations. The Budget Analyst IV is hired by the Manager for Budget and Personnel Support and works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:%3Cbr%3E- Prepare and/or coordinate in the preparation and development of the VRD operating budget and Legislative Appropriations Request.%3Cbr%3E- Provide and coordinate instructions and guidance to VR departments/management units on various process-related procedures relative to the VRD%27s operating budget.%3Cbr%3E- Plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate budgetary activities, such as Third Party Cooperative Agreements, and fiscal performance measures.%3Cbr%3E- Inform and explain to management budgetary variances, problems, and related circumstances likely to affect operations.%3Cbr%3E- Prepare operating budget reports and financial transactions, identifies areas where more effective use of funds can be made to include the analysis of expenditure patterns, making recommendations on the use of funds.%26nbsp;%3Cbr%3E- Run queries and/or download data from the Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS), agency accounting system, and VRD case management system.%3Cbr%3E- Maintain adequate records and supporting documentation.%3Cbr%3E- Interpret and apply statutes and regulations, sets priorities, organizes workloads, and meets deadlines. Prepares effective written communication on the interpretation and analysis of applicable GAA, federal regulations, or requests from the Legislature.%3Cbr%3E- Communicate and work effectively with external and internal parties.
