Business Analyst

Aerotech is a global leader in precision motion and automation systems serving innovative industries. The company is seeking an entry-level Business Analyst to analyze operations, systems, and workflows, design process improvements, and support enterprise technology initiatives. The role involves defining requirements, collaborating with software developers and stakeholders, managing software vendor accounts, and evaluating technology solutions.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with supervisor on assignments to understand goals and define requirements/action plans
• Research hardware and software technologies to maintain awareness of industry standards and best practices
• Design solutions to make the best use of IT resources (e.g., staff, time, budget) to achieve process improvements
• Manage assigned tasks by priority with a focus on efficiency
• Propose solutions to supervisor and stakeholders for evaluation and approval
• Write detailed requirements for software developers and IT staff
• Collaborate with software developers to analyze alternatives, clarify requirements, and test solutions
• Collect and analyze information to evaluate current process efficiency/performance and propose improvements
• Manage enterprise software vendor accounts and maintain software licensing compliance
• Address escalated support/production cases
• Travel to domestic and international field offices, subsidiaries, and satellite companies
• Use existing database systems and associated software

• Associates Degree from an accredited college or university required
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

• Must be authorized to work in the US currently and in the future without employer sponsorship
• Bachelors Degree preferred
• Major or concentration in Information Technology/Systems/Science preferred
• Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in a manufacturing or high tech environment
