Business Analyst

The State of New York Department of Health is seeking a junior Business Analyst to review hospital financial data, analyze cash flows and performance reports, and assess funding needs. The role also involves preparing for and documenting monthly provider calls and completing ad hoc assignments.

What you'll do:

• Updates the internal dashboard weekly
• Reviews data for MediSys health system (Jamaica and Flushing hospitals), Richmond University Medical Center, St. John's Riverside Hospital, St. John's Episcopal Hospital
• Analyzes Weekly Cash Flows and Monthly Performance Reports
• Assesses need requests to determine to appropriate amount of funding, if needed, by each of the assigned hospitals
• Prepares questions for monthly provider calls in order to fully understand each aspect of their current financial situation
• Prepares notes from provider monthly calls
• Ad-hoc assignments

What they're looking for:

• 18 Months of Experience in finance conducting fiscal analysis
• 18 Months of Experience in working with hospitals, reviewing their financial documents
• 18 Months of Experience in data analysis, working with large sets of data on a routine basis
• 18 Months of Experience in communications, conducting calls/drafting emails to various outside parties
• 6 Months of Experience in documentation, during webex calls with providers
• CPA Certification
• ACCA - Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Certification
• Master's Degree in Data Analysis or Business Analytics
• I-Link Solutions requires a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems or a closely related field of study for all positions
