About this role
Northline Seafoods is seeking a thoughtful and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join its remote team. The role focuses on gathering requirements, analyzing business processes and data, identifying improvement opportunities, and translating findings into practical recommendations and solutions. The analyst will also document workflows, communicate insights, and support process improvement initiatives.
What you'll do:
- Work with team members and stakeholders to understand business needs, goals, and challenges
- Gather, review, and analyze business requirements, processes, and data
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Document business requirements, workflows, processes, and recommendations clearly and accurately
- Analyze data and information to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can support business decisions
- Translate business needs into clear requirements and actionable recommendations
- Work with different teams to help develop and implement practical solutions
- Support process improvements and help evaluate the impact of proposed changes
- Create reports, summaries, presentations, and other materials to communicate findings and recommendations
- Track projects, requirements, action items, and follow-ups to help keep work moving forward
- Ask questions and investigate issues to understand the root cause of business problems
- Help ensure that solutions and process changes meet the original business requirements
What they're looking for:
- 1–2 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, operations, project coordination, or a related role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, particularly Excel or Google Sheets
- Ability to understand complex information and explain it in a clear, straightforward way
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organization and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems, analytics, or a related field is preferred
- Experience with reporting, data analysis, process documentation, or business intelligence tools is a plus
