About this role

Butcher Power Products is a company focused on manufacturing and ERP solutions. The Business Analyst Intern will support the implementation of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations by gathering reporting needs and helping translate business requirements into actionable insights.

What you'll do:

  • Meet with department stakeholders (sales, engineering, operations, finance, and projects) to gather and document current reporting needs and pain points
  • Help scope reporting requirements by identifying what data users need, how often, and in what format (e.g., Power BI dashboard, D365 Financial Reporter, static export)
  • Organize and maintain a running log of reporting requests by department, including priority, status, and owner
  • Support the D365 project team in mapping existing manual reports and spreadsheets to potential D365 F&O or Power BI solutions
  • Attend departmental and project meetings to take notes, capture action items, and follow up on open questions
  • Assist in creating simple process diagrams or workflow documentation to clarify how information flows between departments and D365
  • Help prepare summary materials and updates for project leadership on reporting scope and progress
  • Learn and apply basic Dynamics 365 F&O navigation and terminology to better understand the data behind business requests
  • Support other ad hoc project coordination and documentation tasks as assigned
  • Must comply with the company's safety policies

What they're looking for:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple requests from different departments at once
  • Interest in ERP systems, business process improvement, or data reporting; no prior D365 experience required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to ask clarifying questions of non-technical stakeholders
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while keeping the project lead informed of progress
  • Curious, detail-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn manufacturing and ERP concepts quickly
  • Exposure to Power BI
