Business Data Analyst Intern - Hybrid

TransTech is a provider of specialized infrastructure and custom-engineered equipment for diverse industries. The Business Data Analyst Intern will support reporting, analytics, automation, and emerging AI initiatives in the Microsoft Fabric environment, including Power BI reporting, data validation, process improvement, and cross-functional business analysis.

What you'll do:

• Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports for business users
• Support reporting and analysis across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Project Management, and other functions
• Help users validate report outputs and confirm that business requirements are met
• Assist with recurring reporting, KPI tracking, and ad hoc analysis to support decision-making
• Work with curated data already available in Microsoft Fabric to support reporting and analysis needs
• Assist with organizing and maintaining Fabric assets such as semantic models, dataflows, reports, and related objects
• Help validate data accuracy, consistency, and usability for business reporting
• Support documentation of data definitions, report logic, and business rules used within the Fabric environment
• Help identify data issues, missing values, inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve reporting reliability
• Assist in reconciling data across business processes and reports
• Support meetings with business users to understand reporting needs and follow up with analysis
• Help document metrics, requirements, and process improvements related to analytics initiatives

What they're looking for:

• * Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
• * Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools
• * Strong attention to detail and interest in business data, reporting, and process improvement
• * Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, SharePoint, or related Microsoft technologies is a plus
• * Curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about data systems in a real-world business setting
