Job Description :

We are seeking a Director, Business Development & Distribution to lead strategic partnerships that expand the reach, audience, and revenue of our content.

This role is responsible for identifying, negotiating, and managing distribution and partnership opportunities across media platforms, publishers, and brand partners.

You will play a key role in ensuring our content is effectively distributed in new and existing channels, while supporting sustainable audience and revenue growth through high-impact partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Distribution Partnerships

● Identify and develop distribution partnerships with third-party platforms (e.g., news aggregators, content platforms, and digital distribution partners)

● Negotiate syndication agreements to expand content reach and audience acquisition

● Evaluate emerging distribution channels for potential strategic value and early adoption opportunities

Audience Development Partnerships

● Develop and manage partnerships focused on subscriber growth and audience expansion

● Structure co-marketing initiatives such as newsletter cross-promotions, co-registration programs, and audience exchange opportunities

● Collaborate with internal marketing and editorial teams to ensure partnership alignment with audience strategy

Revenue Generation & Commercial Deals

● Negotiate commercial terms for content licensing, syndication, and sponsored distribution arrangements

● Structure revenue-sharing agreements that support both audience growth and

monetization objectives

● Evaluate partnership performance and optimize agreements based on financial and engagement outcomes

Cross-Functional Partnership Enablement

● Serve as the primary business development lead for partnership opportunities across departments

● Support teams in identifying and executing external partnerships that advance business goals

● Partner with editorial, product, marketing, finance, and legal teams to ensure successful deal execution

Relationship Management

● Build and maintain relationships with key external partners, platforms, and industry stakeholders

● Maintain awareness of evolving industry trends, platforms, and partnership opportunities

● Represent the organization in external partnership discussions and industry

engagements

Deal Structuring & Performance Analysis

● Collaborate with legal and finance teams to structure agreements that align with business objectives and compliance requirements

● Evaluate partnership performance using defined metrics, including audience growth, engagement, and revenue contribution

● Support continuous improvement of partnership models and distribution strategies

Requirements:

● 8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, audience development, or media distribution

● Proven experience negotiating and closing complex commercial agreements

● Background in media, digital publishing, platforms, or consumer-facing content organizations

● Strong negotiation and relationship management skills

● Ability to structure mutually beneficial partnership models

● Understanding of digital content distribution ecosystems and platform dynamics

● Familiarity with audience growth strategies, subscription models, and content syndication

● Ability to collaborate across legal, finance, product, and editorial teams

● Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

● Experience working with content platforms, aggregators, or distribution networks

● Familiarity with performance metrics such as lifetime value (LTV), acquisition cost, attribution, and engagement analytics

● Experience managing high-volume partnership portfolios or multi-channel distribution strategies

● Established professional network within media, publishing, or digital content industries

Base Pay Range: 160,000 - 175,000 + Bonus
