Business Operations Intern, Commercial Ops & Analytics

Base is America’s next-generation power company rebuilding the electricity grid through a network of distributed batteries. The Business Operations Intern will support commercial partnerships, launch growth-oriented partnership programs, build analytical tools, improve financial and operational processes, and collaborate across teams to drive growth and efficiency.

What you'll do:

• Our Business Operations team is lean and has a broad scope; there are many specific opportunities awaiting you if you have a thoughtful and effective approach
• Support our relationships and overall offering to existing business partners
• Build analytical tools to understand our operational and financial performance, uncover opportunities for efficiency or growth, and provide visibility to the Base team on critical information
• Automate operational processes to more efficiently support our members and deployments growth
• Launch and scale new partnership programs from 0 to 1

What they're looking for:

• • Comfort working with modern tools and tech stack (e.g., Python, SQL, dashboards, CRMs) and rolling up your sleeves when needed
• • Analytical and data-driven mindset to decision-making and sound business judgment to determine project performance and financial viability
• • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• • Proficiency in Powerpoint/Slides and Excel
• • Bias toward action and simplification - constantly pushing toward alignment, clarity, and execution on tight timelines
• • Comfortable with ambiguity and effective prioritization in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment
• • Proficiency in one or more programming languages is a plus
