About this role
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars. They are seeking a driven, organized, and analytically minded Business Process Specialist to develop and maintain cross-functional internal software tools for project planning, design controls, and resource management.
What you'll do:
- Analyzes, validates, and develops requirements for internally developed software tools; develops systems requirements, techniques, and controls; and supports implementation efforts of requirements
- Helps represent the BPS group and all its products with leadership, partner groups, and end users (Engineers and Managers)
- Provides training and documentation for internal tools and processes to all end users
- Manages available resource and project planning data to develop analytics tools, dashboards, and reports in support of the other Project Control activities and groups
- Organizes, prioritizes, and helps track through completion all new tool requests, feature improvements, upgrades, and bug fixes to current solutions
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices

What they're looking for:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education
- Self-motivated to learn a customer's needs and how it matches with internally available data and tools to recommend, organize, and develop a successful product that meets those needs
- Ability to effectively document business requirements and process improvements
- Organized and motivated to keep track of requests, status, updates, reoccurring tasks and keeping the entire team focused on priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence and guide employees, managers, customers and other external parties
- The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
- Good computer skills. Ability to work independently or lead in a team environment is essential, as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required
