About this role

Franklin County is seeking a Business Process Analyst to support the Legal Division and external stakeholders. The role analyzes, documents, tests, and improves business processes and system applications, while providing training and maintaining process documentation and standard operating procedures.

What you'll do:

  • Consults with division staff to identify, define, and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, and problems
  • Performs analysis and evaluation of business processes, system applications, and user needs to obtain desired outcomes
  • Manages and participates in various technology and process improvement projects
  • Works with division staff and external stakeholders in the analysis, testing and maintenance of system applications to ensure optimal operational performance
  • Collaborates with technical and business units to resolve business process issues
  • Creates test scripts and conducts testing on proposed processes and technologies
  • Collaborates with technical and business units to map business process requirements to all system applications
  • Provides training on specific projects and new business processes to Legal Division staff and external stakeholders
  • Prepares and maintains process documents, standard operating procedures, and training materials for staff and external stakeholders
  • Acts as liaison between technical and business units
  • Assists in the Legal Division according to operational needs
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance

  • Skill in word processing (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, etc.); equipment operations
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in familiar context; apply principles to solve practical, everyday problems; define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions; comprehend & record figures accurately; add, subtract, multiply & divide whole numbers; complete routine forms; maintain accurate records; prepare meaningful, concise & accurate reports; originate instructions & specifications concerning business processes; gather, collate & classify information about data, people or things; cooperate with co-workers on group projects
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, business administration, or related field with one (1) year of related experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience
  • No special license or certification is required
  • May need to travel to meetings, training sessions, or other work-related appointments
