Business Systems Analyst 1, Investment Services

STRS Ohio is a retirement system serving Ohio’s educators and managing retirement assets and benefits. The Business Systems Analyst 1 supports the Investments and Accounting user community by researching, analyzing, documenting, testing, training, and developing technology solutions that improve business operations.

What you'll do:

• Work directly with the Investments and Accounting user community, under the guidance of senior analysts, to develop systems enhancements and resolve production problems
• Document specifications, requirements, user manuals, procedures, and other relevant information
• Provide test scripts and follow full testing methodology through development and implementation to ensure that quality goals are met
• Provide training for users on functionality of new systems and enhancement in releases of existing systems

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or information systems required
• Ability to collaborate extremely well with cross-functional teams and business partners required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment while meeting deadlines with minimal direct supervision required
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship
• One to three years relevant analysis and programming experience preferred
• Understanding of relational databases and SQL query tools skills preferred
