About this role

Enact is a private mortgage insurance provider that helps lenders and partners support homeownership. The Business Transformation Intern will work in Enterprise Analytics to design and implement end-to-end workflows using orchestration, low-code technologies, analytics, and artificial intelligence. The role includes stakeholder collaboration, process mapping, prototype development, user feedback, and business-value assessment.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with business customers and key stakeholders to understand objectives, document business requirements, and map current-state workflows
  • Design future-state workflow orchestration that coordinates tasks, decisions, approvals, notifications, data capture, routing, status tracking, human decision points, and exception handling
  • Configure and deploy a low-code workflow prototype using the Power Platform or other IT approved workflow management tool, based on the needs of the selected business use case
  • Build prototype components that operate together as an end-to-end workflow, including orchestration, user interactions, analytics, and AI-enabled experiences where they add business value
  • Use workflow results, user feedback, and business measures to identify bottlenecks, failed handoffs, delays, rework, adoption needs, and additional optimization opportunities, while supporting Enact values of Improvement and Connection through collaboration, internship events, and development opportunities

What they're looking for:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in business analytics, data analytics, operations, industrial engineering, information systems, business administration, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of workflow orchestration, MS Power Platform, business process automation, or low-code development concepts, including triggers, conditions, approvals, connectors, routing, and exception handling
  • Familiarity with AI, GenAI, MS copilot, or AI-enabled business solutions, and an interest in applying these capabilities within orchestrated business workflows
  • Knowledge of design thinking, human-centered design, process mapping, prototype development, Agile ways of working, or continuous improvement methods
  • Ability to learn business processes quickly, ask thoughtful questions, and translate business goals into practical workflow solutions that combine process, analytics, automation, and AI appropriately
  • Aptitude for critical thinking, structured problem-solving, effective communication, and creating sustainable, measurable solutions
  • Experience gained through coursework, certifications, student projects, internships, or independent learning is welcome

Benefits:

  • Multiple weekly events attended by all interns
  • Hands-on experience in achieving business results while developing technical and professional skills
  • Meaningful business projects
  • Networking directly with leaders throughout the company, up to and including the CEO
  • Teambuilding events with the internship cohort
  • Volunteer opportunities, both on-site and off-site
  • Professional development workshops
  • A network of peers and mentors who provide engagement and guidance during the internship
  • Hybrid schedule
