Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.

Primary functions include preparing keys for all homework sets; grading homework, quizzes, exams and assignments following the instructor’s guidelines.

Complete assigned grading in a timely manner; maintaining records of all student scores. For each assignment the instructor will provide detailed instructions for the protocol to be followed in assessing the assignment. When applicable, include additional comment on outstanding work or hints on possible plagiarism. Supply completed reviews to the instructor in a timely manner. In needed, communicate with the instructor, in person or electronically, to discuss the reading process and its outcomes. Keep all job-related activities confidential. The student grader reports to the Course Instructor.
