Responsibilities
Lilly’s Market Access Strategy & Analytics Internship role provides the opportunity to work in an Eli Lilly and Company function called Pricing, Reimbursement and Access (PRA). The PRA function works to negotiate a price for our medicines, manages reimbursement terms with key players in the pharmaceutical and insurance industries, and works to ensure patients have access to Lilly medicines.
A 10-week internship in Indianapolis, IN within PRA provides the opportunity to strengthen your marketing, strategy and analytics competencies while working on a business-critical project.
Additional experiences include social and professional events with other interns in Indianapolis and networking opportunities with leadership. You’ll gain an understanding of Eli Lilly and Company’s global impact within the pharmaceutical industry and strengthen your business skills. Previous examples of Market Access Strategy & Analytics Internship projects have included:
Develop a strategy for maintaining patient access for a drug across segments of drug insurance through conducting market analysis, synthesizing external sources, and projecting the drug insurance landscape.
Assess patient affordability reports through compiling several data sources, analyzing key performance indicators, cross-referencing with other metrics, and determining accuracy.
Build a market forecasting model across segments of drug insurance for a Lilly product brand team to use in preparation for a product launch.
Optimize marketing strategy for communicating patient access to physicians through compiling execution metrics, gathering field feedback, and assessing prescription data.

Basic Qualifications
Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business (Marketing, Finance, Operations, etc.), Sciences, Liberal Arts, Communications or a related field, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
Additional Skills & Preferences
Prior experience using AI tools (e.g., generative AI platforms, automation tools, or AI-assisted research/analytics tools) in an academic, project, or work setting.
Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
Strong interest in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.
Learning agility, adaptability, and a growth mindset.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Strong organizational, project management, and prioritization skills.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and delivering results.
Additional Information
All interns will be considered for full-time positions based on their internship performance
Lilly arranges various intern activities including sporting events, dinners, lunch and learns, volunteer activities etc. to provide opportunities for socializing, professional development, and learning more about Lilly.
Interns will receive 1 week of paid time off during the Lilly summer shut-down (July 5th – July 9th)
1:1 mentoring from an experienced professional in the function

If the intern's job position requires a move from another location, Lilly will provide subsidized housing

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$56,000.00 - $69,600.00Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
