We’re looking for undergraduate level interns to support the GCS marketing vision as a Marketing Intern. This is a fast-paced team driving the development of commercial customer solutions at American Express.
Responsibilities
How will you make an impact in this role?
As a Global Commercial Services (GCS) Marketing Intern you will:
- Conduct market, competitive, and customer research to uncover insights that inform creative marketing strategy and future enhancements to the customer experience
- Analyze customer feedback and market trends to support the development of marketing content and messaging for commercial audiences.
- Contribute ideas for marketing campaigns and customer engagement strategies designed to drive business growth and deepen customer relationships.
- Document end-to-end marketing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and help prioritize future enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Analytics, Technology, Legal,
- Compliance and other key stakeholders.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and recommendations that communicate findings and support decision-making.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree program
- Bachelor’s degree candidates with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest in commercial payments and marketing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to distill complex concepts or problems into clear insights and recommendations.
- Intellectual curiosity and desire to continually learn about the evolving payments landscape and emerging technologies.
- Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with leaders, colleagues, and cross-functional partners across the enterprise to deliver value.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated resilience, proactive mindset, and a willingness to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement.
- Comfortable challenging the status quo and driving continuous process improvement.
- Proficiency in analytical and presentation tools, including MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, etc.) to enhance research, analytics, problem solving, and productivity.
