About this role
Pathward is a financial empowerment company focused on increasing financial availability, choice, and opportunity. The Capital Markets Analyst I will support warehouse lending and structured finance initiatives through operational management, financial analysis, transaction modeling, due diligence, risk management, reporting, and audit oversight.
What you'll do:
- Provides analytical and operational support in managing the bank’s warehouse lending business
- Leads day-to-day warehouse lending operations and reporting responsibilities including preparing advance / paydown requests and reviewing borrowing base and compliance reporting
- Assists in reviewing warehouse lending term sheets and legal documentation, assessing deal risk and return metrics, preparation of deal approval write ups, and presentations to the bank’s Executive Credit Committee
- Develops and executes ongoing controls, mitigation plans, testing, and oversight of the warehouse lending business
- Performs and presents periodic reviews on existing warehouse lending deals
- Identifies and implements new concepts, best practices and approaches related to warehouse lending reporting and operational & credit risk management
- Leads the development of warehouse lending performance reporting and credit risk management oversight
- Assists in overseeing all third-party warehouse lending financial and operational audits
- Assists in structured finance transaction due diligence, financial modeling, risk management and legal documentation
- Works in a collaborative environment to perform detailed financial analysis and assist in building complex transaction models for new and existing warehouse – structured finance transactions
- Supports the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Capital Markets in other assigned tasks
- Other duties as assigned
What they're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
- 0 – 2 years of experience in Warehouse Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Structured Credit, Specialty Lending and or Investment Banking
- Recent college graduates will be considered
- Communication skills (verbal and written)
- Critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail
- Working towards an MBA and or CFA a plus
