Under the direction of the Disciplinary Review Unit Supervisor I, the Analyst II serves as a Case Management Analyst responsible for managing complex administrative disciplinary cases referred to the Office of the Attorney General. The incumbent coordinates with Deputy Attorneys General, prepares and monitors case referrals, assists with administrative hearing preparation, tracks case deadlines, maintains case records, and provides analytical support for accusations, Statement of Issues, citation and firearm appeals, probation matters, and other disciplinary actions.

Working Conditions

Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview. However, they must reside in the State of California once they are hired and start working.

Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee's monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue hours of PLP 2025 on the first day of each pay period as outlined on "Section 2113 - Personal Leave Program (PLP)" of the CalHR Manual. The salary range(s) included on this job posting do not reflect the reduction in pay.

The incumbent works 40 hours per week in an office setting, with artificial light and temperature control. Daily access to and use of a personal computer and telephone is essential. Sitting and standing requirements are consistent with office work. It is essential that the incumbent have the ability to professionally and courteously handle calls and correspondence of various tones and temperaments from the public and employees.

Occasional travel, by various methods of transportation, including overnight stays, is required for this position.

Special Requirements
