The function of this position is to support research in the Artinger lab, performing developmental and molecular biology techniques.

The Artinger lab is a collaborative, welcoming research environment, seeking an undergraduate student worker to assist with molecular and developmental biological techniques including solution making, genotyping, and maintenance of lab zebrafish colony records. The individual in this position will work with the Artinger lab PI and members of all levels to support the research of the lab.

Flexible schedule Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, 10-15 hours per week, working on site in Moos Tower.

Required Qualifications:

• currently enrolled UMN undergraduate student 
• well-organized and self-motivated 
• attention to detail 
• ability to work independently or as part of a team 
• effective written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• coursework in genetics, cell, developmental or molecular biology
• experience performing polymerase chain reaction
• familiarity with chemical concepts including pH, molarity, and concentration
• work study funds for the current academic year
• schedule with 2-3 hour periods available for work each week

Pay Range: $15.25/hr; depending on education/qualifications/experience
