Catering Events Coordinator

Position Purpose: Assist managers in all facets of the service process by typing, copying, faxing, mailing, distributing and filing related correspondence as well as answering and responding appropriately to incoming telephone calls.

 

Essential Job Functions:

• · Create files for contracts, correspondence, forms, memorandums, Delphi management system updates, and other documents.

• · Answer telephone and responds to caller inquiries.

• · Exercise decision-making skills to direct callers based on requests.

• · Accurately records and distributes messages.

• · Communicate with other hotel associates to relay pertinent sales related information.

• · Organizes, files, distributes faxes, and other essential functions necessary in the daily department operation.

• · Acts as liaison between Events Manager(s) and clients in Manager's absence.

• · Performs supportive functions during the absence of other sales and catering assistants.

• · Ability to assist in other departments when necessary.

• · Perform other duties as assigned.

   

Position Requirements:

• · Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, typing, and communication skills and abilities.

• · High school diploma required.

• · Good communication skills, both written and oral.

• · Basic secretarial knowledge such as business letters, formats, and telephone etiquette.

• · Error-proof correspondence.

• · Work completed in a timely fashion.

 

 

Reporting Relationship: Their assigned Events Managers as well as the Director of Events.
