CATT Technical Delivery AI Software Engineer - Fall 2027

RSM US LLP is a professional services firm serving the middle market. The Associate – Junior AI/ML Engineer supports the development, testing, and deployment of artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions, including preprocessing data, evaluating models, and helping integrate models into production systems.

What you'll do:

• Assist in designing, developing, and testing machine learning models for tasks such as classification, regression, clustering, and recommendations
• Support preprocessing and basic analysis of datasets using standard data tools
• Work with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to help integrate models into production systems
• Assist with experiments and model evaluations, documenting results for senior team members
• Stay up to date with the latest AI/ML research and contribute to team knowledge sharing

What they're looking for:

• 1–2 years of experience in machine learning, data science, or software development (internship or academic projects acceptable)
• Familiarity with Python and major ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
• Basic knowledge of data manipulation and visualization tools
• Broad understanding of machine learning principles and algorithms
• Awareness of MLOps practices and tools, such as version control, containerization, or model monitoring
• Foundational understanding of deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), or computer vision concepts
• Ability to work independently with guidance and take initiative on assigned tasks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with eagerness to learn and grow
• Ability to clearly document and communicate findings
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Azure AI Fundamentals or similar entry-level certification (preferred)
