Central Operations Access Specialist II-– South Carolina Scheduling & Referrals (Hybrid)
Location: Based in North Carolina or South Carolina (Hybrid)
Travel Requirement: Must be able to travel to South Carolina approximately one week per month. All other work is performed remotely.
Candidates may reside in North Carolina or South Carolina, provided they can meet the monthly travel requirement
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
The Central Operations Access Specialist II Manages processes to support improvement of referral and scheduling optimization operations across Novant Health Medical Group; serves as internal consultant for newly affiliated and existing clinics; and fosters relationships between all regions of Novant Health, corporate departments and respective clinics to ensure integration of resources and best practices and continuity of operational procedures.
Skills & Competencies:
Ability to facilitate meetings, lead workflow discussions, and drive action planning.
- Lead and coordinate scheduling and referral initiatives supporting South Carolina clinic operations.
Ability to function as a consultant and build collaborative relationships across departments.
Skilled in developing project plans, timelines, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
What You'll Do
- Maintaining compliance with organizational scheduling guidelines and Referral workflows
- Training and supporting staff on scheduling workflows, work queue management, and template processes
- Utilizing reporting tools and scheduling metrics to drive operational efficiency and improve patient experience
- Supporting leadership initiatives focused on access, patient satisfaction, and workflow optimization
- Auditing scheduling practices for compliance with organizational policies and workflow standards
- Assisting in developing standardized scheduling processes to improve consistency across multiple clinics or departments
- Manage multiple operational projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and organizational goals are achieved.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling and referral-related operational projects and system enhancements.
What We're Looking For
- Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required.
- Experience: 3 year of medical group clinic leadership, preferred. 3 year of experience with referral and/or scheduling workflows, required.
- Additional Skills (required): Educational planning and teaching, Performance consulting, Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving and decision making, and giving and receiving feedback, team building.
