Job Title: Certified Ski/Snowboard Instructor

Department: Snowsports

Reports to: Ski and Ride Academy Manager

If you're a PSIA or AASI Certified Instructor, join Camelback Resort and help guests of all ages and abilities build confidence, improve their skills, and create lifelong memories on the mountain. Whether you're introducing a first-time skier to the slopes or helping an experienced rider master new techniques, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, engaging, and fun ski or snowboard instruction to individuals and groups of varying ages and ability levels. 
  • Teach proper skiing or snowboarding techniques while adapting lessons to meet each guest's needs and learning style.
  • Promote mountain safety and educate guests on responsible skiing and riding practices.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service by creating a welcoming, encouraging, and positive learning environment.
  • Follow direction from Ski & Ride Academy leadership to ensure consistency and success of lesson programs.
  • Welcome guests, assist with lesson check-in, and direct them to the appropriate lesson locations.
  • Support daily Ski & Ride Academy operations and assist with additional duties as needed.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Current PSIA or AASI Certification required. 
    • Passion for teaching and helping guests succeed.
    • Outstanding guest service and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt instruction to different learning styles.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
    • Successfully complete Camelback's instructor orientation and training.
    • Comfortable working outdoors in varying winter weather conditions for extended periods.
    • Ability to ski or snowboard for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
