Department Overview:
The Wisconsin Union, often referred to as "the heart and soul" of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has enhanced the lives of members and visitors since it was founded in 1907. Since 1928, when the doors to Memorial Union opened, the Wisconsin Union has served as the living room of the UW-Madison campus. The Union connects students, faculty, staff, members, and visitors through shared cultural, social, and recreational events and experiences.

Anticipated Schedule
The Chazen Cafe is hiring to fill several open positions for the Fall semster. Please only apply if you have the availability to fill one or all of these shifts:
- Mondays - 930am to 11am
- Wednesdays - 830am to 11am
Additional shifts may be available during the semster, by picking up or covering shifts for other emplyees at this or other Union locations.

Unit Hours
During the Fall semester our normal hours are:
- Mondays 8:30am to 5:30pm
- Tuesdays 8:30am to 5:30pm
- Wednesdays 8:30am to 5:30pm
- Thursdays 8:30am to 7:00pm
- Fridays 8:30am to 7:00pm
- Saturdays 11:00 am to 4:30pm
- Sundays 11:00 am to 4:30pm
Opening shifts start thirty minutes before open, and closing shifts run 30 minutes past closing.
Hours can change due to special events.
Salary/Wage Range:
Hourly $15.00 to $15.00Number Of Positions
2Position Summary/Job Duties:
- Opening and closing duties
- Operate a cash register
- Provide excellent customer service
- Make espresso and coffee drinks
- Stocking products, as needed
- Clean and sanitize work and seating areas
Qualifications:
- No previous experience required; Willing to train
- Ability to stand or be on your feet for the duration of the shift
- Ability to follow directions and maintain a clean work environment
Student Status
To be eligible for the Wisconsin Union positions, you must be currently enrolled in a college, university, or highschool (at least 16). It is not permissible to hire a person as a student hourly employee if they are taking credits merely to be eligible for student hourly employment. Review UW Policy 5003- Student Hourly Employment for more information. If school is in break period (summer, spring, winter), applicants must intend to enroll in courses the following semester.
