Schedule:

Childcare staff members sign up for available shifts throughout the month. Shifts include:

• Sunday morning nursery care and Sunday School helpers (9:00 - 11:30 am)
• Thursday evening childcare for music rehearsals (5:45 - 7:30 pm)
• Occasional all-church events or other meetings as scheduled

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $18.07 to $18.54

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Childcare staff offer Sunday morning nursery care for children ages 4 and younger, and also fill helper roles in Sunday School classes for children in preschool through 5th grade. There is opportunity for additional evening or weekend childcare shifts during the month, as well as family support options at all-church events. Childcare staff members actively engage children in the Sunday morning church nursery, through age appropriate play, conversation, books, and coloring. Childcare staff members interact with adult family members as they drop off and pick up children from the nursery. There are two childcare staff members scheduled for every shift, and/or childcare staff members may work alongside official church volunteers during a shift. When church events include a meal, childcare staff members are welcome to partake of the meal.

Prompt, reliable, trustworthy

Physical Demands

Energy and strength to look after young and active children; ability to lift and carry babies and toddlers as needed.
