About this role
TIAA is a financial services organization focused on helping secure clients’ financial futures. The Churchill Summer Intern will support portfolio analytics through performance measurement, data evaluation, risk analysis, opportunity identification, and data support for investor and client services requests.
What you'll do:
- Portfolio summary data and analytics
- Evaluating the effectiveness of existing data, proposing data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
- Calculation, review and delivery of performance metrics and investment track records
- Putting to use defensive and offensive analytics by identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, while also effectively using data to drive opportunity identification
- Providing data support for Churchill’s Investor Solutions Group & Client Services team with investor requests, DDQ’s, RFP’s and management reporting
What they're looking for:
- * Strong technical skills with SQL, Python, and/or Power BI or other data visualization tools, with demonstrated ability to express complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
- * Strong attention to detail; careful review of facts and figures, quick to identify errors, ensure consistency of information
- * Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills, effective and strong active listening skills
- * Proven track record of success collaborating in a fast-paced, results driven team environment
- * Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to negotiate, influence and gain credibility
- * Innovative and creative thinker; ability to make connections among previously unrelated notions, ability to project how potential ideas may play out
- * No Experience Required
- * Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work
- * Preferred candidate will be a rising Junior or rising Senior (Class of 2028 or 2029) expected to graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Computational Finance, Economics, Accounting or other quantitively focused curriculum
- * Familiarity with private credit markets, investment strategies, and asset classes is a plus
- * High School Preferred
