THE POSITION

ISC Engineering is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join our Civil & Structural Engineering team. This position provides an opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience supporting projects from concept through construction.

Working alongside experienced engineers, designers, and drafters, the Civil Engineer will support the development of engineering calculations, designs, technical documentation, and construction work packages for complex industrial projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Support civil and structural engineering activities under the direction of senior engineers and project leadership.
• Perform structural steel design calculations.
• Perform deep and shallow foundation calculations and design.
• Develop technical calculations, reports, and supporting engineering documentation.
• Assist in developing design and construction packages in accordance with applicable codes and project requirements.
• Review client specifications and design criteria for project compliance.
• Participate in site visits, field walks, data collection, and field verification activities.
• Support engineering activities throughout project phases from concept through construction.
• Coordinate with engineering, design, drafting, and other disciplines to support project execution.
• Assist with field sketches, site documentation, and surveying activities as needed.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) credential or ability to obtain EIT certification.
• Working knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles and applicable industry codes and standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations accurately and effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multi-discipline teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to perform site visits and field-related engineering activities.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC credential when required for client or project access.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Civil or structural engineering internship or co-op experience
• Industrial, chemical, refining, or manufacturing environments
• Structural steel and foundation design
• Autodesk software
• Multi-discipline engineering projects
• Construction or field engineering exposure

CERTIFICATIONS & EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

• EIT certification or ability to obtain certification.
• TWIC credential may be required for certain projects or client facilities.
• Ability to meet applicable project, client, and site requirements.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
