What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking a Member or Senior Level General Technologist for our Digital and Quality Engineering organization. The selected candidate will work with technical staff on quality assurance programs, procedures, and controls to ensure that performance and quality of products and services conform to standards such as IS9001 and AS9100. You will engage in project efforts that are highly collaborative and team oriented in nature, working directly with technologists, staff members, and production operators across centers.
The successful candidate will need to be self-directed, innovative, organized, and possess well-developed interpersonal communications skills.
On any given day, one may be called upon to:
Team with Quality Engineers and Configuration Management personnel to track and maintain redlines for technical work documents.
Review and update technical work documents such as assembly and testing procedures.
Monitor work practices and non-conformances; ensures that corrective actions are implemented
Work with engineers during new product or facility start-ups and implement key checkpoints for new products and processes
Accept or reject finished products and discuss inspection results with team
Review, maintain and process procedures and work instructions during and after builds or products or assemblies.
Due to the nature of work, this candidate must be able to work onsite. Some travel may be required.
Salary Range:
$63,800 - $123,400
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:
High school diploma plus three years of related experience; or Associates degree in related field
Proficiency with Confluence and Microsoft software to include Word, Excel and SharePoint
An active DOE Q-clearance or DOD equivalent
Qualifications We Desire:
Completed additional coursework beyond high school to enhance education and knowledge
Familiarity with programs delivering high value flight hardware
Familiarity with inventory control tools and processes
Proficiency with databases, including skills in tracking, organizing, and managing large quantities of data
Experience with mechanical or electrical hardware and documentation, i.e. schematics and drawings
Experience with verbal and written interpersonal communication within teams and with external stakeholders.
Familiarity and experience with PLM tools such as PDMLink and/or Aras
Ability to work effectively in secure environments

Security Clearance:
Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD). Applicants for employment need to be able to maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
