Job Description
Job Summary: The gift shops are located at Parnassus, Mission Bay and Mount Zion hospitals. One shop specializes in products and services for cancer patients. In a relatively fast paced, multi-tasked environment, the gift shop associate conducts retail sales, maintains the general upkeep, security and safety awareness in the shop environment. The incumbent shall provide excellent customer care by assisting with general inquiries and assistance while working with the gift shop team to achieve operational objectives. Maintains the objectives of the medical center and department. This person understands the mission of UCSF Health and applies the mission to the customer experience and the merchandising of product.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Two years of Retail Sales experience in a face-paced environment. - High School Diploma or GED equivalent - Flexibility to work in all UCSF Gift Shops: Parnassus, Mission Bay (2), and Mount Zion; variety of hours including weekends and holidays. - Cash handling experience using POS systems, credit card terminals and Apple pay. - Customer service with a positive attitude, friendly and pleasant demeanor over the phone and in person PREFERRED QUALIFICATION - Previous experience in a healthcare retail environment - Proficiency in using computer systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, creating signage, marketing on social media, and website
