Clerk, Payroll & Accounting

Stryten Energy, a battery manufacturer and energy storage company, is hiring a Clerk, Payroll & Accounting to support plant payroll, accounting, and administrative operations. The role processes payroll, supports accounts payable and month-end close, and assists the Plant Controller and plant management with operational tasks.

What you'll do:

• Process hourly payroll weekly for transmission to Corporate
• Review UKG time system for accurate information
• Assure proper approvals of time sheet per internal controls
• Prepare and review payroll reports for management
• Maintain up-to-date SOPs for payroll processing
• Train supervisors on proper payroll procedures
• Report all discrepancies on time recording records and attendance sheets to the proper supervisor for correction
• Correctly calculate and enter monetary adjustments for hourly employees
• Perform clerical duties associated with daily labor reporting and miscellaneous reports
• Assist in month-end and close procedures
• Receive goods from packing lists including reviewing for proper receiving documentation on paperwork: reviewed, signed and dated
• Produce and review reports for accuracy of data entered

What they're looking for:

• Experienced in areas of payroll, accounts payable, office administration, and coordinating office/plant activities
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products, specifically Excel, and Word
• Highly motivated individual with good written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills attention to detail, initiative and willingness to take on new projects
• Inductive Reasoning — Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events)
• Problem Sensitivity — Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem
• Associates degree; accounting knowledge; and JD Edwards experience a plus
