Client Data & Engineering Group Summer Intern - Chief Client Office

## Purpose of the role To participate in the day-to-day activities of the investment banking division. Gain broad exposure to different types of clients and transactions, and focus on specialist areas. ## Accountabilities - Collaboration on live deals and client pitches, supporting the team with advising a broad range of corporate clients and delivering holistic, structured solutions to meet client goals. - Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives. - Participation in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge. - Identification of opportunities, development of business cases, and management of the deployment and launch of new products and services for investment banking. - Management of client relationships and provision of customer service support, responding to questions about products and services and processing transactions. - Development and implementation of financial models and strategies that support decision making in investment banking. - Training and mentoring of junior colleagues. ## Analyst Expectations - Perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard, consistently driving continuous improvement. - Develop in-depth technical knowledge and expertise in the assigned area, and understand the underlying principles and concepts. - Take responsibility for end results of a team's operational processing and activities, and manage risk and strengthen controls in relation to the work owned. - Escalate breaches of policies and procedures appropriately, and embed new policies and procedures adopted due to risk mitigation. - Partner with other functions and business areas, and act as a contact point for stakeholders outside the immediate function. ## Summer Internship Program Overview Join as a summer intern and gain hands-on experience across finance and data. Over this 10-week program, you will work on real projects from day one, supported by a mentor, while building technical and commercial skills. You will develop an understanding of how data and analytics are used to generate insights that support client-focused activity across the Investment Bank. ## What to expect As a Summer Analyst, you will support client-focused activity by combining data analysis with commercial insight. You may: - Analyze data to generate insights on client activity and opportunities - Support dashboards, reports and materials used by coverage teams - Contribute to tools that improve how client information is accessed and used - Work with datasets to improve data quality and consistency - Collaborate with teams across Banking, Markets and Technology ## How you will develop - Develop your ability to analyze data and generate insights - Gain exposure to data analysis and reporting tools - Learn how analytics supports client coverage and business development - Build communication skills by presenting insights clearly ## Who thrives here We are looking for students in their penultimate or final year from any academic background with an interest in business, finance and data.
