SUMMARY 

Responsible for staff management while leading operational activities within a geographic region to support ongoing operational, strategic, and financial initiatives.  In addition, maintain the role as an active Health and Welfare Benefits Consultant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Manages the client services team including recruiting, training, mentoring, scheduling, and developing professionals on technical standards, internal processes, and individual capabilities.

Fosters company-wide client service excellence through the development and implementation of client service standards.

Acts as one of the primary industry liaisons for vendor relationships and government compliance, researching legislative, network and product updates, and disseminating information to professionals within the organization.

Maintains an active consulting role with appropriate client base in order to stay current on benefit trends and issues.

Develops and provides senior management with forecasting reports, client services quality reports, and other appropriate data and information on a regular basis as a way of establishing “dashboard” communications between the field and senior management.

Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information).

QUALIFICATIONS 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications or equivalent combination of education and experience

Master's Degree in Business

Seven (7) or more years in the health and welfare employee benefits industry

Three (3) or more years in consulting and brokerage

Four (4) or more years experience managing and developing a team of high performing health and welfare professionals

Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)-IFEBP  

SKILLS

Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Excellent and proven client service skills, with a track record of excellent performance in the industry

Strong analytical skills

Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills

Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to develop a high performing team

Strong ability to motivate and develop staff
