Position Highlights
As the Neuro Critical Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, you will:
✅ Participate in multidisciplinary rounds for medical and surgical Neuro ICU patients
✅ Provide evidence-based pharmacotherapy recommendations to optimize outcomes and medication safety
✅ Develop and implement neurocritical care protocols, guidelines, order sets, and quality improvement initiatives
✅ Respond to medical emergencies including:
- Code Blue responses
- Stroke alerts
- Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI)
- Difficult Airway Response Team (DART) activations
✅ Serve as a drug information resource for physicians, nurses, residents, fellows, and pharmacy staff
✅ Mentor and support decentralized clinical pharmacists
✅ Precept pharmacy students and pharmacy residents, including PGY-1 and PGY-2 trainees
✅ Collaborate on multidisciplinary committees, research projects, and educational initiatives
✅ Help shape the future of neurocritical care pharmacy practice within a leading academic healthcare environment

Minimum Qualifications
✔ Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
AND one of the following:
- Completion of a PGY-1 Residency plus three (3) years of hospital pharmacy experience
OR
- Completion of a PGY-2 Residency (Critical Care preferred)
OR
- Five (5) or more years of hospital pharmacy practice experience
✔ Eligible for Florida pharmacist licensure
Preferred Qualifications
⭐ Neuro Critical Care experience
⭐ Critical Care pharmacy experience
⭐ Experience participating in multidisciplinary rounds
⭐ Protocol development, research, and quality improvement experience
⭐ Residency precepting and educational experience
