JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The College of Medicine Clinical Research Unit is seeking applicants for part-time job of Clinical Research Unit Assistant.

Job duties to include:

  • Perform clinical research billing activities within the WebCAMP system, including review, reconciliation, and resolution of study-related charges.

  • Review clinical research billing records to identify discrepancies, missing charges, incorrect allocations, or other issues requiring resolution.

  • Reconcile clinical research charges and payments and support the accurate completion of outstanding billing activities.

  • Review study-specific billing information and supporting documentation to ensure charges are appropriately directed to sponsors, third-party payers, or other responsible parties.

  • Research and resolve billing questions and discrepancies by reviewing study records, financial information, and historical transactions.

  • Communicate with clinical research staff, finance personnel, and other stakeholders as needed to obtain information and resolve billing issues.

  • Support financial reconciliation and closeout activities for clinical research studies, including completion of outstanding WebCAMP transactions.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of billing activities, reconciliations, and issue resolution.

  • Apply knowledge of clinical research billing processes and institutional requirements to support accurate and compliant billing practices.

  • Provide subject matter expertise related to WebCAMP clinical research billing processes and assist with knowledge transfer and transition activities associated with migration from WebCAMP to Epic.

  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of clinical research billing and financial operations.

Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience with clinical research billing, healthcare billing, research administration, or a closely related field.

  • Demonstrated experience working with WebCAMP clinical research billing workflows is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to review financial and billing information, identify discrepancies, and independently resolve routine issues.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial, billing, and study-related information.

  • Ability to interpret study-specific information, financial records, and supporting documentation.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet established deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently while appropriately escalating complex or unresolved issues.

  • experience with research billing in WebCAMP

This is a limited-term position expected to last approximately three months, with the specific duration dependent on operational needs associated with the transition from WebCAMP to a new enterprise system and completion of outstanding clinical research billing activities.
