About this role
Toyota is looking for team members who are passionate about technology and interested in joining a collaborative and highly motivated team as a Cloud Financial Operations Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support cost and usage reporting, software improvements and the routines that help teams understand and manage technology spending.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, the person in this role will join the Engineering, Cloud, and Software Development team to build and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure and systems.
## What you’ll be doing
- Build technology cost and usage reporting, including chargeback and showback. Check source data, investigate straightforward differences and work with experienced teammates to resolve or escalate exceptions.
- Make changes to scripts, queries, scheduled jobs and reporting tools. Use version control and basic tests; learn approved AI-assisted practices and verify generated work before it is used.
- Help maintain cost-visibility tools, notifications and routine workflows. Follow runbooks, check results, document issues and support troubleshooting with guidance from experienced engineers.
- Support financial-data checks and account or profile mapping updates. Keep clear records of checks, changes and unresolved questions so others can review the work and follow the evidence.
- Support engineering-related financial workflows by organizing supporting data, tracking purchase requests and invoices, and routing exceptions to the appropriate reviewers.
- Document recurring tasks and help improve standard work. Suggest small changes that reduce manual effort, prevent repeat errors and make the next task easier to complete.
- Work with teammates and internal customers to clarify requests, share progress and raise risks or uncertainty early. Seek feedback, apply what you learn and check that completed work meets the customer’s need. Perform other duties as required.
## What you bring
- Foundational programming or scripting experience demonstrated through coursework, personal projects, internships or work, including reading code, making a small change and explaining the result.
- Basic experience working with structured data, such as SQL queries or spreadsheets, and checking results for missing, inconsistent or unexpected values.
- Exposure to technology cost reporting, chargeback or show back, or basic financial-data reconciliation.
- Foundational understanding of software testing, debugging and version control, with examples of following a repeatable process and asking for review when needed.
- Examples of documenting technical work clearly, communicating progress or problems, and collaborating with others to complete a task.
- Examples of learning an unfamiliar tool or process, applying feedback and taking responsibility for the accuracy of your own work.
## Added bonus if you have
- Master’s Degree in Engineering
- Additional Certifications: CPA, PMP, or other
- Experience with a programming language such as TypeScript or Python, SQL-based analysis, APIs or scheduled jobs
- Familiarity with a public-cloud service, monitoring tools or approved AI-assisted development, gained through study or a small project
