The Role
As a Software Engineering Co-op/Intern you will contribute to building and maintaining reliable, scalable software systems that support warehouse automation and customer operations. During this experience, you will work alongside experienced software engineers to develop production-quality software, enhance platform capabilities, and gain hands-on experience with APIs, telemetry, analytics, and modern cloud technologies.
This role provides an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world engineering challenges while developing technical skills in a collaborative and innovative environment.
## Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications and services.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve software quality.
- Support the development and enhancement of APIs and system integrations.
- Assist with troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software issues.
- Contribute to telemetry, monitoring, and observability initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, product, and operations teams.
- Participate in Agile development activities such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Document technical designs, implementation details, and testing results.
- Learn and apply software engineering best practices, tools, and development methodologies.
## Key Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Completed coursework in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, or related software engineering topics.
- Experience with at least one programming language such as TypeScript, C#, Java, Python, C++, or a similar language through coursework, personal projects, or internships.
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Basic understanding of software development fundamentals and debugging techniques.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must not require visa support to work in the USA
