THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION.  

Interviews will be conducted two weeks following the closing date.

This is a State Personnel Office (SPO) position being hosted by the Department of Cultural Affairs at the Farm and Ranch Museum.

Why does the job exist?

 
This internship will be with Research & Exhibits Department at the Museum. The Research & Exhibits Department incudes: Curation, Collections, Archives, Exhibit Design, Graphic Design, and Fabrication.

How does it get done?

 
Intern duties may include supporting staff with:

· Exhibit maintenance

· Participation in Department meetings

· Working with Curator on research projects

· Working with Registrar on updating Collections database

· Organizing Archive materials and Resource Room book database

· Installing exhibit materials

· Fabrication of exhibit components

Ideal Candidate

 
Students with strong interests in (but not limited to) Curation, Collections, Archives, Exhibit Design, Graphic Design, and Fabrication are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualification

 
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university OR completion of at least four (4) semesters (or equivalent) at an accredited college or university within the last two (2) years.

Must have valid identification

Working Conditions

 
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
