Responsibilities

COMMUNICATIONS ELECTRICIAN I (6197)
A Communications Electrician I will be responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of NVE voice and data systems. With supervision and oversight, be capable of working independently to regularly and customarily install, test, calibrate, inspect, adjust and repair all types of communication and control equipment. Responsible for systems that include, but are not limited to, Operation Technology network routing and switching (MPLS) systems, High-Speed Multiplexer systems, Voice and Data communication systems, Telephone systems, PBX's, Microwave radio systems, Land Mobile Radio systems, SCADA systems, Power Line Carrier equipment, Telemetry, Fiber Optics/Lightwave and associated switching or termination equipment providing critical high-speed communications circuits for protection of company assets. The Communications Electrician I must also be able to install, maintain, and repair communications power systems including batteries & chargers in addition to emergency backup power systems (generators). Must have a valid FCC general class radiotelephone operator's license, or valid NABER or NARTE certification. Employees will perform any and all asks for which they are properly trained and can competently and safely perform. This position requires a minimum of 4 years' experience as a communications technician.
