Commercial Business Analyst

First Citizens Bank is hiring a Commercial Business Analyst to investigate business questions, validate data, maintain reporting accuracy, and support a single source of truth for key business metrics. The role partners with operational leaders, department analysts, and BI teams to define reporting requirements and ensure reports accurately reflect business performance.

What you'll do:

• Investigate reporting discrepancies and perform root cause analysis
• Validate data, metrics, and report output to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives and define reporting requirements
• Collaborate with BI teams to translate business needs into clear and actionable specifications
• Document business logic, metric definitions, and reporting standards
• Support data quality and governance initiatives that enhance confidence in organizational reporting

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of experience in Sales Support or Analytics
• High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 5 years of experience in Sales Support or Analytics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, high degree of competency in Excel
• Experience working with data analysis, reporting, or business operations
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong skills in written and oral communications
• Proficiency in SQL coding, Sales Force reporting, Power BI, or other analytical tools such as R and Python
