Commercial Business Analyst

Oxbow is a global leader in recycling, marketing, and upgrading refinery and natural gas coproducts. The Commercial Business Analyst will participate in a developmental program, analyze market and business data, support traders, conduct market research, and collaborate on cross-functional initiatives related to petroleum coke and commodity markets.

What you'll do:

• Engage in a program to gain exposure to various functions and businesses within the company
• Work on projects and assignments that contribute to company goals and objectives
• Develop detailed reports and presentations
• Collect, analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to support business initiatives
• Attend meetings to enhance knowledge and understanding of the company and industry
• Track various indices to understand which direction the markets heading
• Understand the Petcoke supply and demand
• Conduct market research and build relationships with buyers and suppliers
• Learn arbitrage trading and the risks that come along with it
• Assist traders to gather and organize data

What they're looking for:

• **Expected graduation in December 2026 or May 2027 with a business or related degree.**
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
