Community Based Services (CBS) is an outpatient mental health facility serving those in our community and surrounding areas.

This posting will be used for ongoing recruitment and may close at any time. Applicant lists may be screened more than once.

Why does the job exist?

 
This position exists to manage and maintain patient health records while assisting clinicians and clients.

How does it get done?

 
This job gets done by performing tasks such as:
Organizing and filing records;
ensuring all patient information is properly stored;
inputting patient data into the system using AVATAR;
retrieving records;
locating and providing patient records when requested;
verifying information;
checking for completeness and accuracy of records.

Who are the customers?

 
Community Based Services clients are adults 18 and older with various mental needs. We are an outpatient facility.

Ideal Candidate

 
The ideal candidate for this position would have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in data entry. They should also possess good communication skills. Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial. Must be team oriented and possess good time management skills, be approachable and willing to learn. Some travel is required.

Minimum Qualification

 
High School diploma or equivalent and three (3) months experience working in a hospital setting using medical terminology, processing and maintaining a medical records system, and/or use of Microsoft Office programs and hospital clinical software. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) months may substitute for the required experience.

Employment Requirements

 
Must possess and maintain a valid NM Drivers License.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent diploma.

Working Conditions

 
Work in an office setting with extensive work on a computer and phone usage with a team of coworkers.
